MA Driving Lessons FAQs

We offer Adult Driving Lessons year round for students who do not want to complete the 

Full Driver Education Program. Adult Students must purchase a Package of 3 Driving Appointments before we book any lessons.

 ( each appointment is 1.5 hours of Drive Time). Adult students must be prepared to spend up to 2 hours in the car during each appointment, because another student driver drives you back home at the end of your lesson.

The Adult Driving Lesson Package is $370

Call our office if you do not remember your username and password for the MA Student Portal login, where you can see your scheduled Driving Lessons and Balance.

We also offer Road Test Services. Call us to get pricing and info on Road Test options.

Massachusetts law requires that the program include:

• 30 hours of classroom instruction at $219   right now.
• 12 hours of Behind-the-Wheel instructions are $840 right now. This $840 fee covers your RMV Driver Edcuation Certificate.(which normally costs $15)
• A 2-hour Parent Class which at least one parent has to attend (a Parent Class certificate is valid for 5 years) Parent classes are free of charge.
• The Parent class must have been completed before a student can start booking driving lessons with a Driving School.
• Students have to call our office to book their first lesson. Future lessons will be booked with the instructor in the car, or by calling our office again. A payment of $105 via Check, cash or money order must be made at each drive time appointment. Our goal is to keep students with the same instructor as much as possible so that the students feel more comfortable and the instructor will have it easier to track their progress. If a student does not care about having mostly the same instructor and wants to get appointments quicker, please let our office staff know.  

The first appointment can be scheduled with our main office over the phone as long as a student has obtained their Learner's Permit and feels comfortable enough to start. A parent, guardian or designee must complete a 2 Hour Parent class before a student can start driving lessons with a Driving School. Call our office to register for the Parent class, unless you already took one within the last 5 years. If you took the parent class at another school, please let our office staff know.Our school offers convenient pickup and drop-off services for these appointments 7 days a week and for most towns.

Students who want to obtain a Driver's Education Certificate have to complete 8 appointments to cover the required 12 hours of driving. Each appointment is 1.5 hours of Driving Instructions.

There will be 6 Hours of observation time that students will cover. The observation time is covered bit by bit at the end of a students Driving appointments.( Observation hours are free)

8 appointments will include 1.5 hours of driving.

there will be one 2 hour appointment where students will get picked up so that they just do some observation hours.

A payment of $105 is due during each of the 

8 driving appointments ( cash, check or money order), or you can pay in full at your first appointment.
